How To Fix Hardware Failure

A hardware could be a sound card, a graphic card or a hard drive. Problems with a hardware is not very common but when it happens, often it’s not the hardware itself that is broken, but a driver or a software is not updated or got errors. Before you start to test your hardware, make sure that all cables are inserted the right way and that no cables are damaged. If your hard drive doesn’t work, try to test it on another computer or an external hard drive case. Don’t call the manufacturer or the computer shop before you have tested everything you can do.

How To Fix Hardware Problems In Windows!
You can use the device manager in Windows to fix hardware problems, if there’s a problem with a driver or a software and not the hardware itself. Go to the Control Panel and click on the Hardware and Sound link. You will see the Device Manager link in the right menu. Click on it and if you see any devices that show a red X or a yellow exclamation point, click on the problematic hardware device read the info and follow the instructions.
If you don’t get any information that could help you fix the hardware problem, then click on the driver tab and then click on “Search Automatically”, follow the instructions on the screen to complete the driver update, if it works. You can also try to uninstall the software that came with your hardware device and reinstall it again. Sometimes there could be some installation errors or some files were not installed properly.
Another great way to make sure that a hardware and a software can interact without any problems, is to use a driver update tool. A driver tool can automatically search, find and update old drivers. It can save you a lot of time, and you don’t risk installing wrong drivers that can mess up other programs and settings in your computer system. A driver update tool will also help your computer to perform better. Old drivers may work but new driver is usually improved and can give you new features and a faster experience.
Use Windows Diagnostics Tool!
Windows got a built-in diagnostic tool. Click Start and type in “performance” in the search field and press enter. Select “Performance Information and Tools”. Click on the Advanced Tools link in the left menu. Click on Generate a System Health Report and just follow the instructions. Sometimes it’s better to use a third party diagnostic tool to get the best results, because Windows is not optimized for every task, even if it got a lot of built-in tools available. You can find free tools but if you want to have a proper report, a premium tool is a good choice.
If you have a hardware device from an unknown manufacturer and you can’t find any software or driver updates online, your best choice is to use a driver updater. It’s a good idea to buy a hardware device from a famous developer like Samsung, MSI, Asus etc. Then you will have no problem finding new driver and software updates
